From the archives, another Plaubel shot which I never got around to posting. This is the main train station of Nagoya, Japan. Quite often cityscapes leave me cold, especially if the photographer has tried to achieve some “geometry” in the composition, but here I find it’s exactly the geometry that works. In addition to the sharp contrast, that is. (Self-praise, I know.)
